WINTER ‘FESTIVE FEAST OVER FIRE’ SERIES 2025

This November and December we have been offered the opportunity of taking over a hitherto unused 400 year old barn on the Firle Estate, near Lewes, and turn it into a magical den of fire and candlelight and delicious Feasts. So we said yes!

Inspired by a traditional British shooting lunch — but reimagined for today — this is a celebration of sustainable game, wild venison and winter vegetables, cooked over flame and served lit by flickering candles and glowing fires set against the dark backdrop of the ancient South Downs hills. Logs will crackle, tables glow and glasses catch the light while the wine (or AFs!) and conversation flows. Our Feasts will celebrate the season, countryside traditions and the craft of good hospitality.
